However, for AoE tanking, the Seeker's are slightly superior.Ĭomment by 159351I don't really think the whole dodge vs. In short, IMO, the Eternium Shell are superior for boss and general purpose tanking. For example, most Hyjal trash doesn't hit too hard (when compared to a T6 boss), so blocks actually mitigate a fair chunk of their damage, and the spell damage is causing increased threat across many mobs allowing for faster AoEing. However, as mentioned these are pretty good AoE trash bracers. ![]() The spell damage on these is not enough to justify the loss of 1.52% pure avoidance and 9 stam when tanking bosses. But as I mentioned, bosses are hitting so hard in T6 that aside from preventing crushes and providing a small amount of threat, the pure avoidance stats win. When comparing the bracers, the Eternium Shell have 1.52% more pure avoidance (dodge, parry and miss), but fall behind the overall avoidance of the Seeker's as they have 3.5% more shield block. For bosses at this level blocks are only there to stop crushes - in terms of avoidance, dodge and miss, and to a slightly lesser extent parry, are king. These bracers are more suited for AoE trash tanking where your Holy Shield charges will actually get fully used, and for paladins that for some reason need the extra ~2% avoidance to reach uncrushable (I honestly can't understand how that's possible at this level of gear I've been riding the greed train as a healer and am 3% over uncrushable *without* the Libram of Repentance).
